Global Testing Sevices Health, Safety and Rehabilitation Policy

At Global Testing Services we believe that the health and wellbeing of people employed at work and affected by our work is of the highest priority, and is to be considered during all work carried out on our behalf.  Our employees and sub-contractors are one of our greatest assets; therefore our greatest responsibility is to their health and safety.

Policy Statement

At Global Testing Services (GTS) the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees is our highest priority.
 

GTS shall:

  • Ensure all operations achieve and maintain compliance with all applicable legal and other requirements;
  • Identify, manage and control risks to prevent injury and occupational illness by using legal and risk management best practices;
  • Support a “Stop Work Authority” culture, permitting all personnel to stop any activity and/or operation which they identify to be unsafe until alternative strategies are implemented to ensure the identified risk is mitigated;
  • Establish measurable objectives and targets;
  • Provide appropriate and comprehensive information, procedures, instructions and training to ensure all personnel are fully aware of GTS safe work practices and enable them to meet their performance objectives;
  • Ensure continuous improvement through periodic management review of objectives, targets regular audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with our current processes and procedures;
  • Report and conduct structured investigations of all incidents to identify root causes and implement controls to mitigate reoccurrence; and
  • Encourage employee engagement by ensuring consultation, participation and promoting awareness of Health and Safety risks.

 

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to safe work practices and compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures, reporting incidents, safety hazards and unsafe practices observed is the responsibility of all personnel; and
  • The development and implementation of this policy is the responsibility of Senior Management. This policy is made available and communicated to all interested workplace parties including but not limited to those with whom it has a shared duty.


We are committed to fulfilling the objectives of this policy and require the same of all employees and
subcontractors.
